The Alexander Technique has helped her overcome fear, stress and debilitating stage fright – all of which she has now mastered. It is this that first encouraged her to use it to help others. Similarly, the profound power, insight and strength she gained from Family and Systematic Constellation Work in her own life is what led her to share its techniques. Her first experience of it affected her in the most positive of ways and changed her entire perspective.
Lucy is calm, caring and supportive. Through her work, she provides a totally safe space to explore deep issues and trauma – from childhood, work, love and relationships, war and migration, addictions and abortions. No subject is taboo and all secrets are respected and kept. Through her work, she helps people release tension they didn’t know they had, so they can reclaim their full height, width, depth – and worth. By allowing the visceral body responses her work creates, they achieve both clarity and healing.
Lucy has helped thousands of people find and maintain balance in their lives and relationships. To find out more about The Alexander Technique, Family and Systematic Constellation Work, or to talk about how I can help you, get in touch today.
I treat each client as an individual.
I am an expert in both the Alexander Technique and Family & Systematic Constellation Work, which both focus on patterns – habitual thoughts or movements, or perhaps repeated family traits or behaviours, which may go back generations. Together, we’ll demystify and disentangle them, and in doing so, set you free and restore your body to its natural wisdom.
My overarching expertise enables me to treat you in a way that is tailored to who you are and where you are today.
At your initial consultation we’ll discuss your reasons for being in touch and decide how best to move you forwards. This might be a programme of 1-2-1 sessions and/or group workshops, in person or on Zoom. We will work in the best way available, to get you the results that you need. Let’s have a conversation today to see if we’re a match to work together on the next step of your healing and wellbeing journey.
“I had been working as a qualified Nurse in a busy clinical environment when I began looking for solutions to my back pain. Having tried a couple of other therapies first, I came across the Alexander Technique. After a few sessions I found that the pain did not return. The Alexander Technique also helped me in so many unexpected ways. I found that I could manage my busy life better, with less strain and neuroses.
After years of private lessons I decided to undertake the 3 year training course at the Constructive Teaching Centre. Since qualifying in 2013, I have enjoyed helping clients with back pain and those who feel they would like a tool for reducing stress, often enabling them to make decisions to benefit and enrich their lives at a time when they seemed to be too busy to find a solution in a busy or chaotic life.”
Together, we’ll rid you of tension and the pain you are experiencing and disentangle unresolved issues, and in doing so, set you free.
“No pain in the night, no pain when I got up, no pain when I went for a run and no pain now! It’s much more than I expected, thank you! "
"It is as though I have been gifted an entirely new lens through which to view human behaviour, and it is a lens of compassion and empathy like no other. Due to this, I have been able to come to terms with the way my family operates, which has proven to be a great relief. I would definitely recommend working with Lucy. She held such a safe space for me and my vulnerability with great compassion and authenticity."
"Using these techniques has helped me reduce the day-to-day tension I’ve developed over a lifetime of anxious habits and hypersensitivity. It’s been amazing to re-learn how my body works, and how to swap out the survival mechanisms that got me so far, for habits more in keeping with how my body is happier to work."
“I’ve been doing the Alexander Technique with Lucy over the past few months and my posture has improved enormously. I have a greater awareness of how my body functions and can recognise the signs of when I’m falling into bad habits."
"I feel present. Nice to feel here, not racing ahead. I have a more measured, calm approach. I’m less reactive and am learning to look after myself and choose my responses.”
"I had a traumatic accident a few years ago. After you ‘wriggled’ my head it felt weird – and really good. I could walk evenly for the first time in years!! I’m making friends with my body.”
"I have been happily surprised and have learned a lot about how my muscles and spine behave when I let them. I rapidly realised that AT is not in the least pseudoscience, rather it teaches one to be aware of how the body is holding itself."
"I've just had two enjoyable and useful sessions with Lucy on Zoom. I had been doubtful about how it would work but I was pleased with how it went. Of course, nothing is as good as face-to-face but we are where we are and this was great and has helped me to progress as I had hoped. Thank you. Looking forward to the next ones!"
"Lucy's sessions are amazing. Her unique blend of skills helped me have good posture without effort. Before this, I had seen many physiotherapists and osteopaths, but the pain kept coming back within a few weeks. Even after my first session with Lucy, the difference was so clear that my friends commented on it. After several months, the effects are being maintained with her support."
