I am a passionate about the Alexander Technique, Family Constellations work and Resonant Healing Language, which all focus on patterns – habitual thoughts or movements, or perhaps repeated family traits or behaviours, which may go back generations. Together, we’ll demystify and disentangle them, and in doing so, free you of some knots, find movement where none seems possible and restore your mind-body to its natural wisdom.
My overarching expertise enables me to treat you in a way that is tailored to who you are and where you are today.
At your initial consultation we’ll discuss your reasons for being in touch and decide how best to move you forwards. For over 30 years, I have been immersed in the study and practice of the Alexander Technique, a simple transformative method that brings ease, presence, and self-awareness to how we move and live. My journey began in 1989, as a young music student struggling with stage fright and rigid with tension, searching for a way to bring freedom into my performance. By my final recital, I felt a huge shift—not just in my playing, but in my entire being – poise, confidence and enjoyment.
This deep, lifelong learning led me to train as a teacher with Cumbria Alexander Training with the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique in Kendal from 2000 to 2003, completing 1,600 hours of rigorous, hands-on training. Now, through my own teaching practice, I help others undo unnecessary effort, navigate stress, and reconnect with natural poise and balance—whether in music, movement, or everyday life.
Much like Resonant Language can bring gentleness and clarity to emotional healing, the Alexander Technique offers a profound reorganization of movement and perception, helping people release the unconscious holding patterns that shape their experience of the world.
Musicians & Performers – I have taught weekly group classes at Manchester University Wellbeing & Counselling for four years, worked with BBC Philharmonic musicians, and continue to support artists navigating the pressures of performance.
Professional Development & Mentorship – I guide Alexander Technique teachers through CPD workshops, offer mentorship and work exchanges, and help newly qualified teachers refine their practice.
Movement & Everyday Life – I support runners, children, and people navigating stress and chronic tension, bringing more lightness, ease, and adaptability into your everyday movements.

This work is a process of discovering what gets in the way of freedom—whether in movement, thought, or emotional resilience. Like clearing out old belongings, we can make space for something new—when we refrain from our usual habits of thinking and moving we make space for more breath, more balance, more choice.
My practice spans Sheffield, Hathersage, and online sessions worldwide, offering individual guidance and group exploration.

I have also had the privilege of writing a chapter for Words of the Wise, a book featuring writing from over 25 female authors who have all been on different journeys and who have struggled but overcome various life events. All profits raised go back into The Divine Collective for future projects.
